Requirement:

(i) A Bachelor's Degree in design, preferably in visual communication design, exhibition design or multi-media design (full-time); plus at least eight (8) years full-time relevant working experience in exhibition, graphic or multi-media design; or

(ii) An accredited associate degree or an accredited Diploma for visual communication, exhibition design or multi-media design; plus at least forteen (14) years full-time relevant working experience in graphic, multi-media or exhibition design; b) Experience in museums or cultural institutions is highly preferable;

c) Proficiency in Macintosh Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign etc.

d) Specialised proficiency in SketchUp Pro, FormZ, 3DsMax and Vectorworks etc. is highly preferable;

e) Experience in desktop publishing;

f) Good command of Chinese and English;

g) Creative, self-motivated and with good communication skill;

h) Mature, able to work independently and under pressure;

i) A permanent resident of the HKSAR.

Duties:

• To visualize and transform 2D graphical ideas such as text and images into photo-realistic 3D graphics for exhibition presentation by applying appropriate textures and lighting effects to 3D models;
• To create walkthroughs and fly-through in artistic fields for presentation. To create 3D models from gallery plans and rough sketches using rendering software; To assist in monitoring production of multimedia programmes;
• To prepare design layouts, artwork production and printing specifications for 2D graphic outputs and publicity materials;
• To discuss and work closely with curatorial staff and designers to develop design details;
• To keep in schedules and be responsible for printing/production process as well as to monitor the quality control of various outputs and delivery schedule;
• To carry out instant back and
• forth checking of color tone against various color matching systems for output accuracy; To archive all digital files upon completion of design works for record purpose and to compile different files to prepare exhibition portfolios;
• To perform other duties assigned by supervisors.
