About the job:

BBVA HK is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented to join our Client Coverage team, focusing on the Korean Portfolio. This entry-level role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in corporate banking within a dynamic international financial institution.

Job Purpose & Objectives
  • To support the team in managing existing client relationships and identifying new business opportunities within the Korean corporate portfolio.
  • Assist in the execution of client strategies, credit analysis, and transaction structuring.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the management of relationships with Korean corporate clients, supporting senior bankers in daily operations and business development.
  • Prepare and present credit application and new business proposal
  • Formulate account strategy & associated income forecast
  • Present new business case/annual renewal at local Credit Committee & New Business Committee
  • Work closely with Asia Risk & Portfolio Management to resolve internal credit queries
  • Liaise with legal and compliance departments to complete documentation and KYC procedures
  • Prepare internal reports to facilitate strategic business planning and management decision

Qualifications & Skills
  • Degree holder in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Fluency in English and Korean are required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Analytical and quantitative skills with an interest in corporate banking.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Able to work in a matrix reporting structure, multi-functional and cross-cultural environment

Language

  • Fluency in written and spoken English

  • Korean in Written and spoken are an advantage
