Key Responsibilities

IT Support and Management

  • In-depth knowledge of
  • device and application control including process elevation for trader apps.
  • domains and identity sync, including legacy domains and custom synchronisation through AAD and Entra ID
  • custom packaging process and UAT support
  • services – AD, Palo, Image Management, Nexthink, MS Saas/Paas VDIs – for ISO recertification
  • c.500 on-prem Palo Alto firewall rules and connectivity between APAC and UK, EU and US S/W regions.
  • Access Control Systems: Manage and maintain access card systems to ensure secure entry for all CCTV System Oversight: Oversee the functionality and maintenance of CCTV systems to enhance security within the office.
  • Network Components: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to network components to maintain optimal connectivity and performance.
  • Desktop Support, Build and Onboarding: Provide comprehensive desktop support to all users. Ensure that endpoints are built per the custom standards and image, compliance checked, and users onboarded per the full standards for user induction


Trading Desk Support


  • In-depth and hands-on experience in troubleshooting, analysis, and 2nd level support for c.60 custom trader apps – the candidate will be the first point of contact for application investigation and remediation.
  • In-depth understanding of Portal and service workflows and technical resolver groups across the estate.
  • Incident Management: Collaborate with brokers and EMS vendors to resolve incidents, fulfil requirements, and address requests related to trading applications.
  • Collaboration for UK Overnight Support: Provide Service Management support to colleagues for the UK Start of Day (SOD) operations for downstream applications.


Cross-Regional Support

• Portfolio Managers in Singapore: Serve as a point of contact for portfolio managers in Singapore, assisting / co-ordinating with application support and resolving any technical issues they encounter.


IT Vendor Management

• Vendor Oversight: Assist with the management of IT vendors for the Hong Kong office, focusing on cost management and contract renewals to ensure value for services rendered.


IT Security Responsibilities

• ISO Recertification: Participate in security initiatives like ISO recertification, CSIRT, etc ensuring compliance

• Temporary User Access: Manage access for temporary users from other regions visiting the Hong Kong office, ensuring compliance with security protocols.


Availability and Commitment

• Weekend and Holiday Support: Demonstrate commitment by providing support during weekends whenever there are system changes or updates. Additionally, be available on public holidays to ensure continuous support for the trading desk.


Skills and Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of IT systems, including network infrastructure, desktop environments, and security protocols.

• Proficient in supporting trading applications and understanding trading workflows.

• Excellent problem-solving skills with a customer-oriented approach.

• Effective communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders across different regions.

• Experience in vendor management and contract negotiations is preferred.
