Marine Engineer/Surveyor/Technical Superintendent (PCTC Sector) - APAC

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced candidates to join our client, a leading shipping company specializing in Pure Car and Truck Carriers (PCTC), covering the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. The ideal candidate will possess extensive technical knowledge and management skills to ensure the operational efficiency and safety of our fleet.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the technical management and maintenance of PCTC vessels within the APAC region.
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies to optimize vessel performance and compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate with shipyards and service providers for repairs, dry-dockings, and routine maintenance.
• Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and timely reporting.
• Conduct inspections and audits to ensure adherence to company policies and industry standards.
• Provide technical coaching, support and guidance to vessel crew and management.
• Monitor and analyze technical performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure that all technical documentation and records are maintained accurately.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a technical superintendent role within the maritime industry, preferably with expert knowledge PCTC sector.
• Strong knowledge of vessel operations, maintenance practices, and regulatory compliance.
• Dual fuel knowledge would be highly desirable
• Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin) and English is a must to communicate with shipowners and crew members
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel within the APAC region as required.
• Location of work can be either: Hong Kong, China, or Singapore
• Candidates with more experience may be considered as Senior Technical Superintendent
