My client is a well-established business in the commercial sector and they are currently looking for a Head of IT who has a well-rounded background in IT including application, infrastructure, and automation. The right candidate will lead the IT department and participate in planning and implementing digital transformation to support business needs and operations.

• Act as the key thought leader in the IT department, leading application, infrastructure, and automation teams (with 10+ FTEs) and overseeing their activities and performance
• Work closely with senior business stakeholders from other departments to define, align, and deliver IT strategies, roadmaps, policies, budgets, and action plans for digital transformation projects.
• Research new technologies and utilize in-depth knowledge and skills across multiple tech areas to provide technical oversight and solutions that improve operational efficiency
• Review and manage manpower, budget, and timelines based on project priorities
• Serve as a subject matter expert and suggest workable solutions for business needs

skills & experiences required.

• Bachelor's Degree or above in Computer Science/Business Administration or a related discipline
• 15+ years of experience in the IT field with a well-rounded experience in digital solutions, including but not limited to application development, ERP systems (such as Oracle/Microsoft Dynamics 365), eCommerce, infrastructure & operation, automation, or GenAI etc.
• Prior experience in a leadership role (Senior Manager or above) in the commercial sector and ideally managing a team with 8+ FTEs, as well as a retail/FMCG/manufacturing background, would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of change management and industry best practices/standards
• Proficiency in speaking both Cantonese, English, and Mandarin, and currently based in Hong Kong with a valid work permit
• Strong business sense and ability to communicate and influence senior stakeholders at all levels, effectively translating technical ideas into simple language
• Experience in planning and developing the annual budget, timeline, and manpower
• Good interpersonal, presentation, and problem-solving skills
• PMP certification is a plus
