What this job involves

Achieve excellence in Whitespace Management Programs incorporating industry best practice, innovative techniques and statutory and contractual compliance

• Review pipeline entry requests to ascertain on how these boxes can be provisioned in the DC with recommendation from the DC Facility managers & client as required
• Implement the changes, involves hardware upgrades, new hardware installations, server relocations, decommissions, configuration for accessibility, patching and laying cables from installed device to assigned switch ports
• Stock supply of cabling and patch cords as required
• Installation of structured cabling solutions as per onsite solutions
• Support of the warrantee for cabling solutions, working with manufacture to ensure the solutions meet the required standards
• Removal of unused structured cabling as required
• Unique labelling of patch cables
• Details of the implementation (Patching details and cabinet location detail) for their records which are mostly comprised in Detail Design Form (DDF / DLD etc, ) or equivalent and raise relevant changes for physical implementation

Interested?  An ideal candidate would need to have the following qualifications

Desired experience and technical skills

Required

• Minimum 3 to 5 years' experience in DC operation
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft server products
• Extensive knowledge in PC and server hardware as well as networking, DC power schemes
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written in Cantonese and English
