As part of Asia Pacific Payroll Organisation, this role manages the payroll finance function for Hong Kong / Macau and is accountable for end to end payroll, compliance and reporting processes, collaborate closely with Compensation and benefit, HR and cross-functional and regional teams to implement new systems and policies. Focal point to liaise with internal/external auditors, government agencies, payroll provider, tax and social security authorities. Candidate should have a mindset for continuous improvement, drive to harmonise country policies and procedures and to strengthen controls to align with global governance model. 
 

Job Description:

Work Location: Kwun Tong

  • Manage full spectrum of payroll activities for Hong Kong and Macau, month end close for compensation and benefit accounting, ORSO/MPF pension contribution, social security fund contribution, local and global mobility tax matters.
  • This role involves liaison with payroll vendors, processing and reviewing payroll reports and performing reconciliations, ensuring legislative compliance 
  • Manage monthly, annual, and periodic filings of statutory payment submissions.
  • Manage statutory audit and payroll compliance activities.
  • Lead business process streamlining and re-engineering of work efficiency, improve governance and controls.
  • Position requires strong collaboration, working with cross functional and regional teams to provide expertise on payroll matters.
     

To be successful in this position, you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree holder or higher degree holder preferably in Business Studies (Finance/Accounting).
  • 4 years of payroll, employment tax, pension, and accounting experience .
  • Strong working knowledge of HK, MAC statutory regulations, employment ordinance and policies related to payroll.
  • Experience HRIS, payroll software solutions and Microsoft applications.
  • Experience with implementation of payroll processes on an industry recognised payroll solution (Payroll & Time/attendance system) is an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in English and local language.
