Aster Recruiting is partnering with a well-established global asset management firm to recruit a talented Assistant ETF Portfolio Manager. This role offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in financial markets and contribute to the development of innovative investment solutions across both Equities and Fixed Income ETF products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Portfolio Management:  Assist in managing ETF portfolios, including daily activities such as trade execution, balancing, corporate actions, and portfolio risk management across Equities and Fixed Income products.
• Trading Strategies:  Conduct pre-trade analysis, develop trading strategies, and perform post-trade analysis to maintain the performance of ETFs.
• Process Enhancement:  Assist in developing and enhancing portfolio management processes, systems, and tools.
• New Opportunities:  Identify new investment opportunities and help develop new ETF products.
• Index Management:  Support index creation, maintenance, and launch of new ETF strategies.
• Market Liaison:  Act as a point of contact for primary and secondary market ETF trading.
• Platform Development:  Support the ETF Team in building out the platform for the investment process and ETF ecosystem.
• Collaboration:  Collaborate with Product and Sales teams to respond to client queries and participate in new product launches and business development activities.
• Internal Relationships:  Build relationships with internal teams (trading, operations, technology, distribution channels, strategists, and other investment teams) to support the index business.
• Client Communication:  Communicate investment strategy and performance results to clients as required, and provide technical support on index concepts to client-facing groups.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Education:  Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
• Experience:  Experience in managing passive ETF products is preferred. Candidates with less experience will be considered for this role.
• Market Knowledge:  Understanding of ETFs, portfolio management, and financial markets is essential.
• Technical Skills:  Basic knowledge of programming (Python, R, SQL, VBA) is a plus.
• Financial Tools:  Familiarity with financial tools (Bloomberg, FactSet, Wind) and portfolio management systems is beneficial.
• Analytical Skills:  Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large datasets.
• Communication:  Excellent written and verbal communication skills for teamwork, reporting, and client interaction.
• Professional Certifications:  CFA, FRM, or similar professional designation is preferred.
• Work Ethic:  High level of attention to detail, self-motivation, and a strong work ethic.
