Identify emerging technology trends, conduct research on operation resilience, cloud adoption and resilience, third-party risk management, cyber threat landscape, virtual assets and fintech developments, and propose supervisory measures
Assist with the implementation, project management and operation of Supervisory Technology (Suptech) and collaborate with relevant stakeholders
Assist in developing and updating the HKMA’s supervisory policies and guidelines for enhancing Authorized Institutions’ (AIs) technology risk management and cloud security and resilience, facilitating development of AIs’ cyber resilience capabilities, fintech and digital banking initiatives
Conduct onsite examinations and thematic reviews to assess the controls adopted by AIs in managing technology risk (covering areas such as governance, operational resilience, cloud computing, third-party risk management, cybersecurity, digital banking and fintech initiatives)
Manage and respond to different significant technology-related incidents including IT incidents, cyber attacks, and online fraud cases of the banking sector
Collaborate with the banking industry and other stakeholders in various technology risk, cybersecurity management, cloud security and resilience, and encouraging adoption of fintech
Requirements
University degree preferably in information technology or related disciplines
At least 3 years of relevant experience in banking, data analytics, technology audits, technology risk or cybersecurity management
Good programme and project management skills
Good analytical capability with sound technology background, knowledge of cloud computing, cybersecurity practices and risk management sense; knowledge of banking business and operational resilience an advantage
Knowledge in artificial intelligence and generative artificial intelligence, including practical applications and integration strategies, and experience in developing and implementing data analytics / machine learning models for risk management an advantage
Flexibility and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese. Proficiency in Putonghua an advantage
(Candidates with less experience may be considered for an offer of appointment at Assistant Manager level.)
Conditions of service
Depending on the openings available, successful candidates may be appointed on fixed contract terms
A competitive remuneration package will be offered. There is flexibility to take account of additional experience and qualifications
