JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Linux Systems Engineer , you will be responsible for building and operating

highly automated, large-scale infrastructure across multiple datacentres and cloud

providers. You will work in a highly customized bare-metal environment, ensuring

that our trading servers run at peak performance. Your role will involve tackling

complex problems across every layer of our tech stack, optimizing system

performance, and implementing intelligent automation to enhance reliability and

efficiency.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

 Manage a global fleet of Linux systems spanning four continents, 8+ countries,

and 20+ datacentres.

 Design, deploy, and maintain high-performance computing environments.

 Monitor system performance, optimize configurations, and manage capacity.

 Debug and analyze system traces, kernel parameters, and hardware/software

interactions to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.

 Develop automation tools and scripts (primarily in Python) to streamline

operations and reduce toil.

 Implement and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Ansible/Puppet.

 Participate in incident diagnosis, troubleshooting, and long-term resolution

efforts.

 Research and integrate new technologies to enhance infrastructure reliability,

resiliency, and scalability.

 Contribute to a flexible, rotating support roster to ensure operational continuity.

WHO YOU ARE

 A mid-to-senior level Linux Infrastructure Engineer or Systems Engineer with

experience in designing, deploying, and managing large-scale Linux

environments.

 Strong knowledge of Linux internals, including kernel tuning, networking, load

balancing, high availability, and best practices.

 Passionate about automation, with solid coding skills in Python and experience

implementing Infrastructure-as-Code (Ansible, Puppet).

 Familiar with virtualization technologies and comfortable working in

high-performance computing environments.

 Analytical and proactive, with a problem-solving mindset and a keen eye for

system efficiency.

 Effective communicator with strong collaboration skills, able to explain technical

concepts clearly.

 Naturally curious about the intersection of hardware and software and how to

optimize system performance.

 Comfortable adapting to frequent change and working in a fast-paced, high-stakes

environment.

 No prior trading or financial experience is required — our on boarding program

will provide the necessary business knowledge.
