We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Nursing and Health Sciences:

Temporary Research Assistant II (N&HS) (Ref: 25000E3)

Major Duties and Responsibilities

The appointee will assist the Principal Investigator in coordinating a qualitative study on exploring the experience of Hong Kong critical care nurses in caring for brain death organ donors. The study adopts a descriptive qualitative design and will be conducted in a local regional ICU.

The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:

  • Conducting literature review on relevant topics;
  • Recruiting research participants;
  • Assisting in data collection;
  • Conducting verbatim transcription;
  • Performing qualitative data analysis; and
  • Providing research-related assistance.

Candidates

Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:

  • A recognized Bachelor’s degree of above, preferably with a Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, social science, psychology, statistics or related disciplines
  • Proficient in MS Office Words, Excel, and PowerPoint; proficient in SPSS will be an advantage;
  • A good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; and
  • A good team player and able to coordinate research projects independently.

Terms and Conditions for Appointment

Successful candidate will be appointed on a temporary full-time contract. Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions.
