My client is expanding its Quant Trading business and hiring for a Trading Risk & Control Manager in Hong Kong. The business covers cash, derivatives and volatility trading amongst others. Reporting to the Head of Risk and with a dotted line to the Head of Trading you will be responsible for the following:

Responsibilities

• Risk and P&L monitoring with direct interaction with trading desks, Finance teams and other control functions.
• Drive the in-business Risk and Reporting function for the global Quant Trading business.
• Real-time monitoring, analysing and reporting of trading desks’ risk exposures, limits and breaches, set up and review trading limits systematically
• Develop the trading risk management framework, drafting of risk policies and procedures for new and existing trading strategies, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements
• Monitor funding risk and ensure integrity of balance sheet capital funding and usage
• Track key counterparty risks and operational risks, including business continuity
• Develop automated trading controls, scripts and dashboards to monitor trading positions and balances real-time
• Prepare trading performance reports and analyses for senior management

Requirements

• 8-10 years relevant Risk experience in a Quant trading firm, Investment Bank or Hedge Fund or Crypto Trading firm.
• Bachelor or Master's Degree in a Maths, Statistics, Computer Science or related discipline, with CPA, CFA, FRM an added advantage
• In-depth knowledge of trading strategies and how best to implement appropriate risk controls and quantitative analytics on trading performance
• Hands-on experience developing risk management procedures and risk monitoring tools
• Strong understanding of financial products, knowledge of crypto products is a plus
• Proficient in Python and SQL, passionate about cryptocurrency and blockchain
• Excellent English and Mandarin, written and spoken, with Cantonese a plus.
