Executive Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical IT Manager (Infrastructure & Server Operations) to join our team under a 2-year contract with the potential for permanent employment .

The successful candidate will be working onsite at a major bank and will play a crucial role in managing IT infrastructure projects and day-to-day server operations.

The role involves working alongside the internal IT operations team and reporting to the bank's Head of IT . The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the bank’s Windows server infrastructure , supporting server operations in Hong Kong and across Asia , and leading IT infrastructure projects such as server upgrades, migrations, cloud adoption, and cybersecurity enhancements .

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily IT infrastructure operations, focusing on Windows server management and network administration .
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for server-related issues across the Asia region.
• Ensure high availability, performance, and security of IT infrastructure.
• Collaborate with the bank’s internal IT team to optimize system performance and reliability.
• Lead and manage IT infrastructure projects, such as:
• Server: Building and upgrading servers, storage, and networking equipment.
• Cloud Migration: Moving on-premises applications and data to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Network: Implementing new networking equipment and SD-WAN solutions for improved performance.
• Cybersecurity Enhancements: Deploying security tools such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
• Disaster Recovery Solutions: Developing backup systems, offsite storage, and secondary site failover strategies.
• IT Asset Management: Implementing asset tracking and inventory management solutions.
• Work closely with key stakeholders to plan, execute, and monitor IT infrastructure projects within scope, time, and budget constraints.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for procurement, implementation, and support.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 5 to 8 years of technical experience in IT infrastructure management and project management .
• Experience working in a banking or financial services environment is highly preferred.
• Strong expertise in Windows Server administration and network infrastructure .
• Hands-on experience with server upgrades, migrations, cloud solutions, and security implementations .
• Proven ability to lead IT infrastructure projects from planning to execution.
• Experience managing regional IT infrastructure support , particularly in Asia.
• Knowledge of server operations, cloud migration strategies, and disaster recovery planning .
• Certification in Microsoft Windows Server is required.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
