Job Position Summary

- Join our growing Corporate Communications team to help us drive awareness and deepen industry engagement – especially with employees, seafarers, clients, regulators, industry associations and media.
- Embed the refreshed brand proposition and visual identity across channels and communications.
- Manage internal and external communications initiatives, working closely with c-suite leaders.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic corporate communication plans to support the company's goals and objectives.
- Oversee internal and external communications, including the creation and distribution of content for various communication platforms – e.g. social media, websites, press releases, media relations, and newsletters.
- Implement and manage digital channels strategy, including website, social media and intranet portals.
- Establish campaigns and creative initiatives or partnerships to drive engagement.
- Support crisis communication efforts, providing timely and effective responses to any issues that may arise.
- Implement and monitor the brand guidelines across corporate assets.
- Analyse communication metrics to measure the effectiveness of communication strategies and make data-driven improvements.
- Plan and manage project budgets and invoicing.
Relationship:
INTERNAL:
- Guide and support a team of communication professionals, providing guidance, mentorship and feedback.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to craft key messages and ensure consistent communications.
- Work with management to develop internal communications programmes and content for key internal employee events, town halls, etc.
- Ensure spokespeople are well briefed and trained to deliver key messages.
EXTERNAL:
- Actively engage, cultivate and manage relationships to broker partnerships in support of our programmes, special events, and other projects.
- Maintain strong relationships with media and industry influencers for the company, handling public announcements, media inquiries and interview requests.
- Lead and manage agency support to successfully deliver communication programs globally.
Job Experience, Functional Knowledge and Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. (Related fields such as journalism, marketing or communications would be an advantage.)
- 10+ years’ experience in a communications or marketing position in a medium to large organisation (in-house or consulting experience will be considered.)
- Proven track record in planning and leading corporate communications or marketing projects externally and internally.
- Demonstrable experience in managing digital channels (especially social media strategy development, channels management, website management, multimedia content creation, paid media and reporting.)
- Exceptional research, writing, editing, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- An understanding of the maritime industry would be an added advantage.
