About the job:

As a Consultant/Senior Consultant, Banking, you will acquire first-hand consulting experience in the banking industry, build knowledge on a wide range of companies, and apply project management best practices in a fast-paced and intellectually challenging work environment. As we carry out all projects at the clients’ premises, you will play a key role in building trusted client relationships through high quality deliverables and leveraging our industry expertise. The investment analytics specialist will be responsible for advising clients on how to create strong investment frameworks including portfolio structuring, investment risk & suitability, credit, investment duration, and cash flow features.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct research, data collection and analysis on investment portfolios in client banks to understand the requirements on their investment and advisory servicing.
• Present findings and recommendations using business proposals and presentations
• Organize and conduct reviews on processes, policies, guidelines and other documentation related to portfolio- & product advisory to identify opportunities for the client to create market-leading practices
• Document the project into systems and processes for management review
• Close interaction with clients through interviews, workshops, project updates and in-person networking to understand requirements in-depth and deliver solid solutions
• Support thought leadership on Advisory topics by researching market best practices and staying informed of industry trends
  
  

More experienced candidates will have these additional responsibilities:

• Support design and activation of new Advisory-related products and services from Synpulse
• Drive the sharing of Advisory knowledge / expertise throughout Synpulse
• Lead smaller project teams
  
  

About you:

• Bachelor Degree holder
• 3-6 years of experience in banking or consulting industry
• Understand investment products/advisory across the Private and Wealth Banking sector
• Familiar with Risk analytic and portfolio management
• Prefer to have strong technology affinity and system implementation experience
• Experience in financial product management or -structuring, portfolio construction, trading, or portfolio reporting will be an advantage.
• Highly analytical and structured in problem solving; able to quickly understand complex situations
• CFA / CAIA / FRM designation or passed tests will be an advantage
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and team leadership skills
• Excellent spoken and written English; fluency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin will be an advantage
