New Semi-con Plant Set-up, fabrication, production, manufacturing operation
Your new company
Our client is a leading-edge semiconductor company dedicated to innovation and excellence in Hong Kong. They are setting up a new Sem-conductor fabrication facility and are looking for a dynamic leader able to assist the new plant project in Hong Kong. As the Senior Director, you will manage the setup and operation of the new fabrication facility, including production, equipment setting, and workflow optimisation. You will lead a team, ensuring quality and regulatory compliance. Additionally, you will oversee resource allocation to maximise efficiency and drive process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve safety.
Your new role
- Manage all aspects of setting up and operating the new fabrication facility, including developing and implementing production plans, ensuring equipment is properly maintained, and optimising workflows to achieve maximum efficiency.
- Supervise and mentor a diverse team of engineers, technicians, and support staff, providing guidance and fostering a collaborative, high-performance work environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
- Ensure that all products manufactured in the facility meet the highest standards of quality, conducting regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
- Oversee the allocation of resources, including materials, labour, and equipment, to ensure efficient use and minimise waste, while maintaining a balanced budget and meeting production targets.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the fabrication facility, leading to initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce operational costs, and improve safety standards.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as R&D, supply chain, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless integration of new technologies and processes into the production environment.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and partners, negotiating contracts and ensuring a reliable supply of high-quality materials and equipment.
- Monitor industry trends and advancements in semiconductor manufacturing, incorporating best practices and innovative solutions to keep the facility at the forefront of technology.
- Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance, including key metrics and progress towards goals, to senior management and stakeholders.
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelor's degree or above in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
- At least 10 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing and process development.
- Familiarity with local and global supply chains for semiconductor materials and equipment.
- Proactive and self-motivated with a great adaptive, agile, and innovative mindset to resolve problems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work with diverse teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese. Putonghua is an added advantage.
