Monitoring Systems Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Enhance the reliability, efficiency, and responsiveness of our infrastructure and application hosting services.
• Continuously optimize system performance, drive innovations for improvements, and ensure visibility across the entire stack.
• Oversee the health and availability of the production environment by closely monitoring system status and proactively addressing issues.
• Design, implement, and manage comprehensive end-to-end monitoring solutions for both applications and infrastructure.
• Oversee the setup and upkeep of log analysis platforms to support proactive issue detection and resolution.
• Collaborate with diverse stakeholders, gathering insights to create intuitive mock-ups and develop dynamic dashboards that offer actionable insights.
• Lead knowledge-sharing sessions for both application and infrastructure teams, focusing on monitoring best practices and tool usage.
• Identify opportunities for automation within the monitoring space, advising automation teams on implementing tools like auto-discovery and agent setup to streamline workflows.

Requirements:

• At least 3-5 years of experience in IT operations, focusing on system monitoring and performance analysis.
• Proficient in using monitoring tools like Grafana, Zabbix, Azure Monitor, and ELK Log Management.
• Proven experience in large-scale monitoring system setup and maintenance.
• Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) tools such as PagerDuty and ServiceNOW.
• Solid understanding of cloud computing models, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to system performance issues and bottlenecks.
• Excellent communication skills in English for cross-team collaboration with regional and local delivery teams.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• Successful track record of maintaining large-scale monitoring systems.
• Experience with automated configuration management tools such as Ansible or Azure Automation is a plus.
