Deep HAVC design knowledge is a must for supporting our corporate team (Client side)
Apply innovation & technology layer to support the lead in engineering design and implementation of mechanical building services to properties operation
Lead the implementation of new mechanical building services program and support technology in line with company sustainability goals
Drive excellence in quality, cost, sustainability, and operation
Collaborate with the local Facilities teams to assess and improve operation and reliability of existing mechanical building services installations
Support and contribute to department initiatives such as sustainability, reliability centered maintenance and root cause analysis
Perform technical assessment of existing installations and create balanced long-term investment strategy
Write high quality descriptions, scope of work, plan and execute technical projects, including drafting and maintenance of the Sands Engineering Standards (SES), Sands Sustainable Development Standards (SDS) and other applicable Standards
Work with architects, engineers, and other consultants to create best in class technical solutions for the organization. Must understand roles and responsibilities of design professionals, contractors and regulating authorities and successfully interact with them
Lead commissioning of major mechanical building services installations during implementation and on a continuous monitoring basis
Review design documents and provide expert & substantive input to technical options and solutions
Drive global and local sustainability projects to achieve cost, schedule, and performance objectives
Lead technical competency improvement programs across the properties
Drive safety improvement programs
Drive implementation of global technical reporting structure and related KPIs
Drive process efficiencies and ensure best practices are captured and implemented at the properties
Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
At least 5 years of relevant mechanical engineering design and project management experience, with prior experience in M&E building services consultancy
Possessing advanced engineering and design knowledge, application, testing and commissioning in HVAC would be an advantage
Experience in building services design for hospitality, large scale complex development preferred
Experience in mission critical design such as data centers and hospitals an advantage
Good understanding and familiar with local authority requirements, regulations, standards, and ordinances on M&E building services with planning, construction, and operations
Possess good communication and interpersonal skills, with an eye for detail
Ability to operate in a global organization with operations in numerous countries with varying cultures
Possess the ‘drive’ and learner mindset
Strong project management and organizational excellence skills
Proactive, with minimum supervision and independently, in a fast-paced environment with strict tight deadlines
Possess good presentation skills
Fluent in English, Mandarin & Cantonese
Possess a good degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Professional Qualification, Licenses and Certification like Professional Engineer, LEED or similar and relating to the building services and sustainability would be an advantage
Less experienced candidate can be considered for Manager position
