Job Description

What you'll do:

  • Conduct R&D work in the design, development, and evaluation processes for AI models and methodologies aimed at TCM diagnosis and treatment.
  • Conduct desktop research and review on the Chinese Medicine, complementary Medicine and pharmaceutical-related local, national and international regulations
  • Handling ad-hoc tasks as required with flexibility and adaptability to effectively address project needs and challenges.
  • Preparing project proposals, detailed technical documents, and progress reports.
  • Engaging with R&D partners (e.g. universities, technology suppliers, clients, and end-users), and participating in technology commercialization events (e.g. training sessions, seminars, conferences, and exhibitions locally and overseas).
  • Traveling to Mainland China and other oversea locations occasionally for project implementation and new technology study

You'll be a good fit if you have/are:

  • Doctorate Degree from disciplines such as Data Science, Chinese Medicine, Pharmacology, Biotechnology, Health or equivalent
  • Relevant experience in medical,medicine and diagnosis related R & D projects or consultancy preferred.
  • Experience in R & D centers, INNOHK labs, smart/ digital health sectors or familiar in government funding schemes application (e.g. ITF, RGC funds, HMRF, CMDF) will be an advantage
  • Good presentation and report writing skills, mature, self-motivated, and able to work independently and meet tight deadlines
  • Good command of English, Cantonese and Putonghua

2. This is a position funded by the Research Talent Hub Programme under the Innovation and Technology Fund (ITF) to conduct R&D project to 30 April 2026.

HKPC will take into consideration both the quantitative and qualitative requirements of the post when selecting the suitable candidates. A competitive salary package commensurate with academic qualifications and experience will be offered. The successful candidates will be employed on a fixed-term contract basis, which is renewable subject to appointee’s performance and the Council’s development needs.
