Position Summary:

Our client is a global FMCG brand and is looking for a results-driven Sales Manager to oversee the General Trade channel for their fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales management, excellent leadership skills, and a proven ability to drive revenue growth through effective channel strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy Development: Create and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and increase market share within the General Trade channel.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of sales representatives to ensure high performance and achieve sales objectives.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key retailers, distributors, and wholesalers to enhance business opportunities and improve sales performance.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in the General Trade channel.
  • Sales Forecasting: Prepare accurate sales forecasts and reports to track performance, monitor progress, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Promotional Activities: Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute promotional campaigns that drive sales and enhance brand visibility.
  • Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and support to the sales team to improve product knowledge, selling skills, and customer service.
  • Budget Management: Manage the sales budget effectively, ensuring optimal allocation of resources for maximum ROI.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales management within the FMCG sector, with a focus on General Trade.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and market trends to inform strategic decisions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
