Our client, a leading financial organization, is undergoing a significant transformation of its business and IT infrastructure through a multi-year digitalization initiative. They are seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database management, a deep understanding of DevOps practices, and the ability to troubleshoot and optimize database systems. The position is offered as an initial 12-month contract, with the potential for renewal based on performance.

Key Contributions:

• Install, configure, and maintain database management systems (DBMS) such as MS SQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, or MongoDB.
• Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply patches and updates as needed.
• Ensure database systems are running efficiently, securely, and in alignment with CI/CD practices.
• Develop and maintain automated database backup and recovery plans.
• Test recovery procedures regularly to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Implement disaster recovery strategies that align with CI/CD workflow
• Monitor and optimize database performance, including query optimization, indexing, and partitioning.
• Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.

Core Expectations:

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in database administration.
• Strong knowledge in DevOps environment.
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.
