My client, a reputable financial institution, is seeking an accountant to assist with fund administration, ensuring precise fund accounting, reporting, and operational processes.
Key responsibilities:
- Handle daily fund accounting, including NAV calculation, subscription/redemption reconciliation, and other fund administration tasks.
- Manage fund accounting activities, ensuring daily reconciliation of cash and positions.
- Perform portfolio valuation and compute NAV for funds.
- Prepare and maintain internal MIS reports.
- Generate and distribute client reports promptly.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards by managing regulatory reporting.
- Assist in the investment order placement process.
- Support audits and coordinate with external auditors as needed.
- Perform ad hoc accounting and administrative duties for relevant funds.
- Participate in various tasks or projects as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in fund accounting; fresh graduates are welcome to apply for junior positions.
- Candidates from fund houses with experience in fund accounting or operations are encouraged to apply.
- Knowledge of pension funds is an advantage.
- Strong numerical aptitude and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
