The offerings are highly technical and backed by extensive quantitative research, and our clients are sophisticated institutional investors.
With a robust client base spanning across the Asia Pacific region, notably mainland China, this role entails regular visits to our clients in the financial epicenters of APAC. Engaging in industry conferences and exhibitions is a key component of this position. Reporting directly to Datago's CEO, the role offers a competitive base salary alongside an attractive commission structure.
Responsibilities
Present and explain the value of our proposition AI-driven financial data analytics products to potential clients
Re-enforcing the value proposition to retain and grow existing client relationships
Take a leadership role in driving sales to new and existing accounts
Provide current forecasts and detailed pipeline information to management, thoroughly documenting all deals in the CRM, and participating in detailed weekly pipeline calls
Manage the sales cycle using coordination and communication skills to leverage internal product specialists and the R&D team where appropriate
Record sales activities and create/update sales opportunity analysis in a timely fashion
Stay up to date on market trends, client feedback, and promptly share with the team
Travel as needed to meet clients and attend networking events
Requirements
2 to 5 years of experience in the financial services sector,
1 year’s sales experience within the financial services sector, ideally selling to institutional investors
Solid understanding of the overall financial markets
Bachelor’s degree required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, Fluent in verbal Mandarin (Cantonese is a plus)
Excellent relationship building, inter-personal, planning, and organizational skills are a prerequisite
Ability to originate, manage, and close deals effectively, from cold outreach and lead generation through to contract negotiation
Familiarity with quantitative research, AI-driven analytics, and financial data products is a strong plus
Comfortable with modern computer applications (CRM, MS Office, etc.)
Prior experience in AI, FinTech, SaaS, or data analytics preferred
Location of work:
Preferably Hong Kong or Shenzhen
