Responsibilities :

  • Support with Compliance services within the Region
  • Work with the Compliance team to ensure Apex are compliant with legal and regulatory requirements and best risk/compliance.
  • Serve as AMLCO, MLRO & DMLRO to the allocated client where appointed.
  • Understand the Cayman AML Regulations and ability and support the AMLCO, DMLRO and MLRO functions in line with Cayman requirements and relevant international standards, including but not limited to, FATF.
  • Ability to identify and summarize sssany material developments in its business.
  • Understand and be able to consider and advise on maintaining adequate systems to identify risks in relation to persons, countries, business relationships and activities.
  • Conduct ongoing monitoring of business relationships or one-off transactions in accordance with the Regulations.
  • Conduct transaction monitoring reviews in relation to the Fund.
  • Present any updates or key findings to the Board/ Fund controlling parties.
  • Consider and make any Suspicious Transaction Reports (STR’s) where appointed as MLRO.
  • Develop AML & CFT Policies and Procedures.
  • Develop and prepare AML Business Risk Assessments.
  • Perform AML & CFT sample testing and AML assurance reviews.
  • Monitor the systems and controls (including, without limitation, the AML/CFT Procedures and other documented policies and procedures, in line with the requirements of the Regulations, as amended from time to time.
  • Carry out regular audit of the AML/CFT Procedures and any other policies and procedures used by, or on behalf of, the Company, to adhere to the requirements of the Regulations.
  • Maintain relevant logs.
  • Raise AML/CFT compliance issues and any issues with respect to the Company Compliance Functions, that require the attention to the AMLCO MLRO for reporting to the Board.
  • Assist with Board reporting to Clients where required.
  • Embed a compliance culture within Apex and through personal engagement with client entity governing bodies.
  • Conduct ad hoc reviews and/or special investigations as required

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of solid compliance experience with success & stable track record and added advantage with experience relevant to Apex Group’s business (http://www.apexgroup.com.).
  • Recognized compliance qualification (or equivalent) e.g. ACAMS certification or other professional compliance qualifications.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English with strong people management & communication skills to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical capability, being able to work independently and working as a team player.
  • Good understanding of financial services regulations and AML guidelines.
  • Reliable, adaptable, motivated, and able to perform under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Results-driven with the ability to think outside the box for both routine and non-routine tasks.
  • Organized, self-disciplined, and capable of prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in PC applications.
