Key Responsibilities

1. Governance & Legal Oversight

  • Provide expert legal advice and support to ensure compliance with the Club’s bye-laws, local regulations and legal standards. 
  • Support the Committee and lead project to effect amendments to company articles and to ensure governance documents are current and accurate.
  • Assist the General Manager and Department Heads to review and propose changes to the Club’s bye-laws on a regular basis, for Sub-Committee and General Committee’s approval.  Ensure the Club’s bye-laws are reviewed and updated as required.
  • Review and edit committee meeting minutes with precision, maintaining highest standards of accuracy and fluency.

2. Team & Internal Management: 

  • Manage and oversee internal administration departments to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. 
  • Foster positive internal relations with team members and act as a mentor to Department Heads across departments. Act as a central point in communication between different departments and between department heads and GM.
  • Assist the General Manager to develop and implement all strategic and business plans and policies of the Club with the support of the management team.
  • Assist Department Heads to review all agreements, contracts and lease documents, whenever necessary.

3. Committee & Member Liaison: 

  • Serve as the primary bridge between departments, committee members, and the General Manager.  Work as a link between Committee members and  Management by relaying queries and comments to the Management team.
  • Liaise with committee members to align on objectives and initiatives. 
  • Guide the Director of Membership on legal matters and communications with both members and committee members.
  • Assist the General Manager to oversee Members' Disciplinary issues, prepare reports for the Committees and coordinate hearings and subsequent procedures.
  • Assist the General Manager to execute the directions given by the General Committee and Sub-Committees.  Respond to and follow up on Committees’ guidelines, requests, directions, instructions, comments, and enquiries on Club’s matters effectively and efficiently.

4. Strategic Leadership: 

  • Work collaboratively with the General Manager to execute strategic plans that enhance the Club’s operations and member experience. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships to support long-term organizational goals. 

Desired Profile

  • A degree in Law or a strong legal background is essential. 
  • Proven experience in operational management, ideally within hospitality or membership organizations. 
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. 
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and diplomacy. 
  • Fluent in spoken Cantonese, and native-like English proficiency in both written and oral communication.
