travSIM specialises in international travel eSIMs and SIM cards, providing seamless connectivity solutions for travellers worldwide. We focus on eSIM solutions that help international travellers avoid roaming charges and stay connected abroad.

Additionally, we are developing a management app for GPS tracking and IoT data SIMs, enabling efficient monitoring and management of connected devices. Our goal is to deliver user-friendly communication services for both personal travel and IoT connectivity.

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled iOS & Android App Developer to join our team in Hong Kong. In this role, you will develop, maintain, and enhance mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms. You will collaborate with our product and design teams to enhance user experience and implement new features in our apps.

The applications you develop will support travSIM’s eSIM travel services and IoT SIM management solutions , helping users stay connected and manage their devices seamlessly. This is a full-time position within a collaborative and innovative environment where your contributions will be crucial to advancing our mobile technology offerings.

Responsibilities

✅ Mobile App Development: Develop and maintain native iOS and Android applications, ensuring high performance and smooth functionality.

✅ Feature Implementation: Work with product managers, designers, and backend developers to define and refine app features.

✅ API Integration: Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services to enable core app functionalities, such as user account management, eSIM purchases, and device monitoring.

✅ Debugging and Optimisation: Identify and resolve bugs, optimise app performance, and conduct thorough testing across different devices and OS versions.

✅ Collaboration: Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and team meetings, contributing technical insights and innovative solutions.

✅ Stay Updated: Keep up with industry trends, platform updates, and emerging mobile technologies to ensure best practices in development.

Requirements

✅ Hong Kong Citizenship: Applicants must be Hong Kong citizens and currently reside in Hong Kong.

✅ Language: Fluent in English, with excellent written and spoken communication skills.

✅ Education & Experience: Proven experience in mobile app development; a degree in Computer Science or a related field is a plus.

✅ iOS Development: Proficiency in Swift; familiarity with Objective-C is a plus. Experience with iOS frameworks, libraries, and full app lifecycle development.

✅ Android Development: Proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java for Android development, with experience in Android SDK and development tools.

✅ API & Backend Integration: Experience working with RESTful APIs, JSON, and web services. Ability to manage data storage, synchronisation, and offline functionality.

✅ UI/UX Knowledge: Strong understanding of mobile UI/UX principles. Experience translating designs into functional and visually appealing interfaces, following Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines and Google’s Material Design principles.

✅ Problem-Solving: Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to optimise code for better performance.

✅ Independent & Teamwork: Self-motivated and able to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team.

✅ Adaptability: Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and open to learning new technologies. Experience in telecoms, eSIM, or IoT projects is a plus but not required.
