The Technical Coordinator will be working closely with the Operations team, responsible for supporting the Superintendents on technical aspects of vessels, ensuring compliance with Flag, Class, and other mandatory or prescribed requirements while maintaining the companys quality standards. This position also involves close collaboration with Purchasers and other team members to ensure necessary spares and stores relate to the ships.
The successful candidate must be able to work under pressure and effectively both in a team and independently in a high-growth, deadline-driven, and fast-paced environment. Additionally, the candidate must produce work with a very high degree of accuracy and precision.
Responsibilities
Update vessels particulars, data entry on technical issues.
Assist with set up of ship annual surveys and creates and issues service purchase orders (SPOs) for annual services.
Provide continuity on guaranteed management and follow up.
Provide support for major repairs regarding SPOs, people and tooling.
Provide support for dry-dock planning, specification compilation and execution of SPOs.
Provide support for routine maintenance.
Assists with Certificate folders.
Ensure drawings and manuals are set up for each class of ship and conduct ad hoc checks to ensure they remain in the library. (Hard/softcopy).
Assist with compiling statistical data of KPIs, Guarantee Claims, etc., as instructed.
Review invoices for Superintendents when they are out of the office. Bring forward same for immediate attention where needed.
Support superintendents by reviewing and coding ship expenses including Port Disbursements, Charterers Deductions and cash expenses (AC300s).
Along with the Fleet Administrative Assistant, ensure Technical Operations filing is up to date for the team.
Qualifications
Engineer with sailing experience or a suitable engineering/technical background.
Experience with Microsoft Windows and Office Suite.
Able to maintain a proactive and constructive relationship with the team members.
Flexible and learns quickly.
Experience on SSML vessels is an asset.
