This is a fixed-term contract position of 2-year with possibility for renewal subject to organisational needs and individual performance.
You Will Be Responsible For
- supervising a team of Customer Services Officers to maintain smooth operation of the performing arts venues and events by delivering excellent customer services;
- conducting event briefing and supervising a team of causal staff to ensure the performance of the staff is up to standards and provide excellent usher services;
- being the theatre and event in-charge for front of house operation;
- supporting venue manager to prepare and execute shows and event operation logistics to make sure the readiness of events;
- overseeing the information counter services, usher services, cloakroom services, service bar and VIP room;
- communicating with back of house Technical Team to cue show;
- responding to emergency situations and difficult guests issues;
- arranging roster to the Customer Services Officers and casual staff and preparing frontline staff timesheet to Human Resources Department;
- preparing training roadmap and providing training to the Customer Services Officers and casual staff;
- providing administration support for operations, e.g. uploading digital signage to digital signage system, preparing event schedule to management, preparing facilities service orders report, etc.;
- preparing sales report to Finance Department;
- monitoring the stock inventory and doing timely procurement for service bar, daily and event operations tools and equipment, etc.; and
- handling projects and tasks as assigned.
You Should
- possess higher diploma or above;
- preferably have 2 years of relevant experience in venue operations in performing arts venues, tourism and / or hospitality sector;
- have good knowledge of front-of-house operation or event operation;
- possess approachable personality, cheerful, proactive, customer-oriented, flexible, adaptive to change and detail-minded mindset;
- demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work both independently and cooperatively with others;
- be a good team player with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and dynamic environment;
- be proficient in written and spoken Cantonese, Putonghua and English. Proficiency in other languages would be an advantage;
- be required to stand for long hours and work in both outdoor and indoor environment; and
- be required to work on shift according to the duty roster assigned including weekends and public holidays.
