Institutional Advancement Office

The Institutional Advancement Office is established to build and strengthen VTC’s relationships with employers, industries, trade associations, philanthropists, charitable foundations, alumni and other stakeholders with a key role to foster collaborations with and solicit financial and in-kind support for student development and institutional advancement of the VTC.

Major Duties:
(a) To support the donation proposal writing and the execution of donation projects according to donation agreements, donors’ expectation and the rules and regulations of the VTC;
(b) To assist in organising events and visits to help secure funding support from industry partners, foundations and philanthropists;
(c) To liaise with the stakeholders for the implementation of donation projects and corporate activities;
(d) To prepare and update various reports, statistical analyses and financial summaries for donation projects;
(e) To assist in database management and digitalisation projects, such as the design of online form and workflow;
(f) To support the publicity matters, including webpage update, photo and video editing, and production of promotional collaterals in printed form and online; and
(g) To draft speech and undertake committee work.

Requirements:
(a) A recognised degree with at least 2 years’ relevant experience;
(b) Relevant work experience in marketing, event / project management and / or fundraising activities;
(c) A satisfactory level of written and spoken language proficiency in English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua;
(d) Strong people skills to build the connection and strengthen the engagement with stakeholders;
(e) Proficiency in MS Office applications and knowledge in photo and video editing software;
(f) Good communication and presentation skills; and
(g) Proactive, good adaptability in a multi-facet work environment, strong sense of responsibility, and able to handle multitasks independently.

Notes:
(1) The post is at the rank of “Officer”.
(2) Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply.
(3) Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment in both English and Chinese.
(4) The appointee may be required to work on shift / outside normal office hours.
