Responsibilities:

Reporting to the General Manager (Corporate Development), the appointee will mainly perform the following duties:

• To assist the General Manager (Corporate Development) in managing HK Electric's strategic developments
• To work with a team of engineers and analysts to study the future transformation of the Hong Kong electricity market in the context of Greater China electricity market reform, as well as the long-term feasibility and infrastructure for promoting low-carbon energy development
• To facilitate the evaluation of Mainland environmental legislations and regulations and their associated impacts on the local electricity supply industry
• To develop closer collaboration and experience sharing with the Mainland electricity industry and regulatory bodies

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, Business, Finance or related disciplines
• A minimum of 8 years' relevant experience in power or energy industry
• Familiar with the power industry regulatory regime, regulations, as well as the developments of the electricity market in the Mainland China
• Good command of English and Chinese languages, both spoken and written
