The Department
The Security, Integrity and Information Security Department is seeking a talented and creative Senior Market Insights Analyst who excels at transforming complex information data into compelling narratives. In this role, you will blend your analytical expertise with storytelling prowess to produce impactful research that combats under-regulated betting and safeguards the integrity of horse racing and betting in Hong Kong.
By joining our team, you'll directly impact the organization's strategic priorities and contribute to the betterment of Hong Kong society. You'll use your unique blend of analytical and creative skills to combat the negative impacts of under-regulated betting market.

The Job
You will:

  • Transform Information and Data into Compelling Stories:
    • Work independently and collaboratively to analyze and synthesize information from diverse sources.
    • Craft insightful narratives and visually engaging presentations that make complex material accessible and actionable for various stakeholders.
  • Produce High-Quality Reports and Presentations:
    • Deliver reports and presentations that are not only fact-led but also tell a story, ensuring clarity and engagement.
    • Maintain exceptional attention to detail in both language and numbers to ensure accuracy and impact.
  • Drive Innovative Projects:
    • Assist in project management of complex initiatives, bringing creative solutions to challenges.
    • Collaborate on key projects that require both analytical rigor and innovative thinking.
  • Enhance Narratives on Combats under-regulated Betting:
    • Participate in refreshing and tailoring the core research narrative to resonate with different audiences locally and globally.
    • Support local, regional and international efforts to target under-regulated market and tailor findings and messaging accordingly
  • Develop Research Methodologies:
    • Support in drafting innovative methodologies and processes that underpin the research program.
    • Combine qualitative and quantitative approaches to enrich the research output.

About You
You should have:

  • Educational Background:
    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a field that combines critical analysis with creative communication, such as Economics, Marketing Analytics, Data Journalism, Communications, or similar disciplines.
  • Experience:
    • 3-6 years in roles that blend analysis with storytelling, such as strategic consulting, market research, data journalism, or marketing analytics.
    • Demonstrated ability to produce impactful research reports and presentations that tell a story both independently and as part of a team.
    • Experience in project management or supervisory roles is a plus.
  • Skills and Attributes:
    • Exceptional ability to translate complex findings into clear, engaging narratives.
    • Strong writing and communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
    • Creative thinker with a passion for making information accessible and compelling.
    • Familiarity with racing, sports, or betting industries is highly advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Required Language Skills:
    • Native-level English proficiency (written and verbal)
    • Fluent Mandarin/Cantonese (reading and speaking)
