We are looking for an Area Director, Procurement (Hong Kong) based at Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong!

As an Area Director, Procurement (Hong Kong), we rely on you to:

• Overseeing and facilitating the purchasing strategy, supervising the team in purchasing, operations and logistics, and ensuring all employees and processes meet the Hotel standards
• Obtain in-depth knowledge of the suppliers in the Region and their products.  Assess and evaluate the performance of all suppliers relating to product cost, quality, on time performance, completeness of an order, credit worthiness etc
• Conduct market research and benchmarking to assess supplier competitiveness, engage with suppliers on new products and market trends, encourage suppliers to develop new products, packaging and services to meet our needs
• Working closely with Corporate Procurement Department and aligned with established sourcing strategy, source quotations collectively for Hotel capital expenditure requests in the Region; complete transactions when approved
• Submit monthly saving reports and other reports if needed to the Corporate Procurement Department
• Provide professional coaching and technical guidance to the Procurement Team in HK region
• Be familiar and abide by the requirements of ISO 14001, ISO 22000, HACCP, CSR, the hotel’s Environment Management System (EMS), Food Safety and other Hotel’s certified standards as applicable

We are looking for someone who has:

• Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration or other related disciplines
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Hotels with similar capacity
• Solid experience in tender process and preparation of tender documents
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and procurement systems
• Excellent leadership, analytical, organizational and communication skills
• Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese and Putonghua
