We are currently seeking a skilled officer to join our team. As an Operation Officer, you will play a crucial role in fund operation as well as overseeing and delivering projects within the financial/securities industry. Responsibilities
Perform daily fund operation tasks such as preparing trade instructions and settlement, position reconciliation, corporate actions, fund expense payment processing, cash management, and account opening;
Prepare portfolio valuation reports and reconcile with fund administrator;
Liaise with fund administrators, prime brokers, brokers, custodian banks and other service providers on operational issues;
Coordinate with fund administrators and clients to assist with subscriptions, redemptions, transfers and switches;
Perform due diligence and service review with external counterparties;
Collaborate with top managements to define project objectives, requirements, and deliverables in alignment with the strategic goals of the organization
Develop comprehensive project plans, including task assignments, timelines, and resource allocation, while considering regulatory and compliance requirements.
Monitor and track project progress, identifying and proactively addressing risks and issues to keep projects on track.
Conduct regular project status meetings and provide timely updates to top managements.
Coordinate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, to ensure seamless project execution.
Strong commitment to professionalism, integrity, and maintaining confidentiality in handling sensitive financial and client information.
Assist on SFC/ regulators related annual audit and preparation of annual audited financial statements;
Assist in setting the operations process of new fund launch;
Participate in system testing for new products when necessary;
Perform such other duties as shall from time to be directed by the superiors.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree holder or above in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related disciplines;
1-2 years’ relevant experience in fund operation/ fund administration/ project management is a plus;
Familiar with regulatory requirements for investment products and good understanding of market rules and practices will be an advantage;
Knowledge on Excel spreadsheet formula setting would be an advantage;
A good team player, detail oriented and self-motivated;
Able to work independently and under stress;
Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Mandarin).
