We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Purchasing Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably within a large construction company. This role will assist the Purchasing Manager in overseeing the procurement processes, ensuring optimal purchasing strategies, and maintaining strong vendor relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing purchasing strategies to optimize costs and improve efficiency.
• Manage day-to-day purchasing operations, including sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials and services.
• Collaborate with project managers and other departments to understand procurement needs and timelines.
• Maintain and analyze supplier performance to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely deliveries.
• Monitor market trends and conditions to identify potential supply chain challenges and opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all purchasing activities.
• Prepare and present reports on purchasing activities, cost savings, and supplier performance to senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant purchasing experience, preferably in the construction industry.
• Knowledge of construction materials, services, and market dynamics.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
