Japanese Cuisine Specialist – Luxury Hotel Restaurant, Jakarta
We are seeking an experienced Japanese Cuisine Specialist to lead the culinary operations of a top-class hotel restaurant in Jakarta. The ideal candidate will have expertise in traditional Japanese cuisines, including Kaiseki, Robata, Sushi, and more, and a background in international hotel restaurants.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the entire Japanese kitchen operation, ensuring authenticity and excellence in all dishes.
Develop and refine menus, incorporating seasonal ingredients and traditional techniques.
Train and mentor kitchen staff to uphold the highest culinary and service standards.
Maintain consistency in food quality, presentation, and taste across all Japanese cuisine offerings.
Work closely with procurement teams to source premium Japanese ingredients.
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and hotel operational standards.
Collaborate with the executive team to enhance guest experiences and drive restaurant success.
Stay updated on global culinary trends while preserving the integrity of Japanese traditions.
Key Requirements:
Japanese national with a strong background in traditional Japanese cuisine.
Experience in international hotel restaurants or luxury dining establishments.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and train a diverse team.
Fluent English communication for effective coordination and guest interaction.
Creative mindset to develop innovative yet authentic Japanese menus.
Immediate availability preferred.
