Summary

Lidl & Kaufland Asia are hiring a Quality Consultant to join our quality assurance sports and kids team. The successful candidate will be responsible for below tasks,

Main Objectives:

Liaise on issues and product requirements related to the 3rd party laboratory testing in Europe, Asia and USA of related product groups

Support the Quality Assurance, Merchandising and Production Team on all product and quality requirements of related products.

Provide support to the team

What you'll do

Perform quality checks on product and packaging through sample inspections and report the findings

Assist in the improvement of quality of samples at all stages of product development and the order

Ability to evaluate samples and recommend appropriate modifications in design of construction

QA Warehouse samples: Arrange samples to be sent to external warehouse or testing laboratory once evaluation completed, ensure samples organized on shelves or allotted area

Carry out checks on artwork i.e. packaging\manuals\labelling

Signed sample preparation and approval

Laboratory test quotation review & confirm. Discuss with SQC if there are discrepancies

Participate in Kick-off meetings

Deal with QSP (In-line) comments from Germany – Check, review and propose response, where applicable

Test failure analysis and provide recommendations to factory

Arrange the retest once the improved sample is available. On-site product improvement discussion with factory

Assist with updating and recalculating the schedule and inform Merchandising team

Review and discuss (where applicable) CAP reports with Production team

Clarify the testing issues with external laboratory

Monitor the schedule and review on the document/report (Test order, sample review report, DCL, Certification)

Review and submit shipment release documents to SQC and/or Technical Manager

Travel is required for this role

What you'll need

Minimum of 2 - 3 years of work experience  in a Quality Assurance / QC / Engineer position  

Bachelor's degree or equivalent required, Master's degree or equivalent of an advantage in field of hardgoods, engineering or related discipline

Fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin required, German of an advantage

Factory inspection practice in an international sourcing company  is an advantage

Possess strong technical expertise in hardgoods products

Knowledge of work flow of a trading, buying or sourcing office

Good understanding of hardgoods mass production manufacturing procedures

Experience in 3rd party testing laboratory with Retailer exposure

Proficiency in MS Office, with advanced Excel skills required, advanced Power Point skills of an advantage
