Job Duties:

Responsibilities:

  • Play a pivotal role in framing and developing our data policies, guidelines and practices, making sure they are aligned with the group’s business plan and product development in all aspects.
  • Write up professional proposals, policy papers, guiding principles, commercial agreements and client notices.
  • Conduct statistical analysis to support the initiation of a new policy or the alteration of an existing policy for data products or programmes.
  • Cut across all functional lines to identify gaps and achieve coherence in the formulation of data policy, recommend effective and feasible policy proposals to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Understand the business trend and technological changes in the global market, be able to apply best practices in formulating and refining data policies.
  • Facilitate communication with clients of any new or change in requirements and restrictions in relation to data policy, including exchange participants, information vendors and end users.
  • Work closely with licensing team and audit team to collect and translate client feedback into practical and actionable recommendations.
  • Assist in ad-hoc projects as well as cross-department initiatives.


Requirements:

  • University graduate in Finance, Economics or relevant disciplines
  • Preferably with CFA/HKICPA/CPA/ACCA designation or equivalent.
  • At least 6 years' relevant work experience, ideally with legal or compliance experience.
  • Hood knowledge of financial, exchange, or data products.
  • Excellent command of English and Chinese including report writing skills in both languages.
  • Self-motivated and versatile to handle a variety of tasks, ability to work independently and prioritise competing requirements effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, a team player who is willing to learn and share knowledge.
  • Be able to think conceptually and critically in handling difficulties and solving problems.
  • Proficient in MS Excel (including Pivot), MS Access, MS Powerpoint.
