Monday - Friday, 9.00am - 6.00pm


About the role


We are looking for a Compliance Specialist to join our Risk & Compliance team in Hong Kong. In this role you will join an international team of colleagues of compliance in Hong Kong, Singapore, China, Australia and India in our Corporate and Legal Solutions (“CLS”) business unit (“BU”).


Your Position


You will report directly to the Compliance Lead for HK CLS and be responsible to ensure risk and compliance with the relevant legal and regulatory requirements as well as in-house policies and procedures for Hong Kong and Japan. Your key responsibilities will include:


  1. Act as the Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer (“MLRO”) for CSC HK entities
  2. Provision of independent sound risk & compliance advice and support on client acceptance based on the prevailing company and group policies as well as the relevant local legislation, rules and industry practice
  3. Liaise with the local regulators
  4. To conduct risk & compliance monitoring on a timely basis, including but not limited to regular review of client entities, transaction monitoring, processing & clearance of suspicious hits, and specific thematic review(s)
  5. Liaise and deal with Internal Audit inspections or enquiries
  6. To conduct risk & compliance investigation pertaining to incidents, complaints or administration issues (where required)
  7. To conduct risk & compliance induction to new staff and provide ongoing risk & compliance training to existing staff
  8. To prepare relevant risk & compliance management information & reports
  9. To participate in ad hoc risk & compliance related projects


Your Profile


  • Degree holder in Law, Accounting, Finance or related discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience of successfully working within a Compliance function
  • Solid experience in managing risk & compliance framework in accordance with regulatory and statutory requirements
  • Good understanding of Trust and Corporate Services Business in Hong Kong. Sound knowledge of local regulations including both Hong Kong rules and regulations AML qualifications (ACAMs or equivalent).
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Ability to independently and effectively work with different stakeholders
  • Excellent command of English and Cantonese language
  • Independent, meticulous, pro-active, attentive to details, self-motivated, outspoken, keen to learn, and capable of meeting new challenges with excellent communication skills
