Job Description:
Role Summary
The job holder will play a pivotal role in supporting the Agency Leader(s) with an aim to ensure the compliance with regulatory requirements. The role is expected to work closely with the team head of a new business channel to establish and develop operational protocol for frontline advisors to adhere. This role requires a unique blend of compliance, change management, and project management skills to drive operational efficiency and strategic growth.
Job Responsibilities
1. Regulatory Compliance Support
- Assist Agency Leader in ensuring all agency operations comply with local regulatory requirements.
- Assist Agency Leader to build a system to maintain accurate records and documentation to support compliance audits.
- Monitor and implement updates to regulatory guidelines within the industry.
2. Operational Efficiency
- Streamline administrative processes to improve operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth agency operations of assigned teams or zones.
- Prepare reports and presentations for regulatory and operational reviews.
3. Training & Communication
- Support the development and delivery of compliance training for agency staff.
- Act as a liaison between the agency and regulatory bodies to address compliance-related queries.
4. New Business Channel Development
- Collaborate with AVP, Business Development to design and implement strategies for a new insurance distribution channel.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities for growth and expansion.
- Develop business plans and financial models to support the new channel business launch.
5. Performance Monitoring
- Track the performance of the new distribution channel and provide regular updates to senior management.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to achieve business targets.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Insurance, or a related field
- More than 8 years of experience in compliance, operations, or business development within the insurance or financial services industry
- Strong knowledge of Hong Kong regulatory requirements for insurance distribution
- Proven track record in project management and stakeholder engagement
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and data analysis tools
