Post Specification:

Assistant Manager, Business Development (Ref. No.: AiDLab-AMBD)

Duties

The appointee will be required to:

a) Establish partnerships and coordinate collaborations with potential clients while following up with existing clients to facilitate technology adoption and the commercialization of R&D projects;

b) Support business development for AiDLab start-ups;

c) Oversee intellectual property management and coordinate information management for R&D projects;

d) Travel as needed to build and maintain partnerships, attend industry events, and support business development and marketing initiatives;

e) Perform any other duties as assigned by the Centre Director and/or their delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should:

a) Hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in fashion, textiles, or a related discipline;

b) Have a minimum of 4 years of experience in business development or related fields;

c) Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, including government, industry, academia, and NGOs;

d) Be willing to travel as required to achieve business development goals;

e) Have knowledge of intellectual property (IP) management and licensing, along with hands-on experience in the commercialization of R&D outcomes, product development, and start-up incubation (preferred);

f) Possess a good network within the fashion and textile industry (an added advantage).
