Assistant Manager, Business Development (Ref. No.: AiDLab-AMBD)

Requirements

The appointee will be required to:

1. establish partnerships and coordinate collaborations with potential clients while following up with existing clients to facilitate technology adoption and the commercialization of R&D projects;
2. support business development for AiDLab start-ups;
3. oversee intellectual property management and coordinate information management for R&D projects;
4. travel as needed to build and maintain partnerships, attend industry events, and support business development and marketing initiatives;
5. perform any other duties as assigned by the Centre Director and/or their delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should:

1. hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in fashion, textiles, or a related discipline;
2. have a minimum of 4 years of experience in business development or related fields;
3. possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, including government, industry, academia, and NGOs;
4. be willing to travel as required to achieve business development goals;
5. have knowledge of intellectual property (IP) management and licensing, along with hands-on experience in the commercialization of R&D outcomes, product development, and start-up incubation (preferred);
6. possess a good network within the fashion and textile industry (an added advantage).
