Our client, a listed company specializing in dry bulk shipping, operates a significant fleet of vessels ranging from Supramax to larger sizes and is expanding its international operations through a Hong Kong-based subsidiary. They are seeking a Chartering Manager to join their Hong Kong team, focusing on Supramax and Kamsarmax vessels. 

This full-time, on-site role involves managing chartering activities, negotiating contracts, and building industry relationships, with a preference for candidates from ship-owning or operating backgrounds in the dry bulk sector.

Responsibilities

• Manage international chartering operations for dry bulk commodities.
• Secure cargo contracts and arrange vessel chartering (in and out).
• Calculate voyage P&L estimates to optimize financial outcomes.
• Negotiate competitive voyage and time-charter contract terms independently.
• Develop and maintain relationships with shipowners, brokers, and cargo clients.
• Monitor dry bulk market trends to inform chartering strategies.

Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in maritime studies or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of chartering experience with dry bulk shipowners, operators, or brokers.
• Demonstrated expertise in Supramax and Kamsarmax vessel chartering.
• Strong understanding of voyage and time charterparty terms and conditions.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin (written and verbal) for effective stakeholder communication.
• Willingness to work overtime and travel overseas as required.
• Existing industry connections and customer resources considered an advantage.
• Immediate available preferred
