Who Are We Looking For
The Head of Indirect FX and StreetFX APAC is responsible for protecting, growing and further developing the Indirect FX and StreetFX businesses in APAC.
They will oversee and manage the daily execution of the Indirect FX and StreetFX business in the region and ensure that it is undertaken in accordance with the service descriptions in the Investment Manager Guide and StreetFX agreements as applicable while ensuring risk excellence values are followed.
They will oversee and contribute to Indirect FX and StreetFX sales both in the region and with colleagues globally, as it pertains to currencies that the region executes, in order to achieve assigned global and regional budget targets.

What You Will Be Responsible For
Role specifics
- Provide input to the development and oversee the execution of the business plan for GM Indirect FX and StreetFX businesses in APAC in line with divisional and regional goals
- Oversee and contribute to Indirect FX and StreetFX sales efforts within APAC and where required, globally, in line with divisional, global and regional goals
- Deliver superior customer service and support to both internal and external clients
- Work with senior management to interpret data pertaining to client activity and trends in order to identify opportunities and risks as well as advance our service offering
- Collaborate with global colleagues across teams and divisions to develop and maintain our services to successfully service clients
- Ensure effective management of the regional team across multiple locations and enable staff training and development
- Provide an effective escalation path for team members as well as internal and external clients.
- Ensure that all procedures and controls are regularly reviewed, understood and followed
Managerial

- Maintain a detailed understanding of :

- Ensure team has clear understanding of their reporting lines, authority levels, scope of responsibilities (including those delegated to them and those they delegate), objectives, training and competency requirements plus progress is reviewed regularly in line with Company policy, and are regulatory registered where appropriate for their role
- Develop effective working relationships and communications with staff and ensure that staff are motivated, developed and supported
- Establish and monitor systems of control, delegated authority and escalation procedures so that the business complies with internal policies and external regulations and can be managed effectively
- Adhere to the delegation and oversight (management information and escalation) framework in the performance of daily tasks. This includes taking proactive action to ensure there is adequate production of management information that is fits for purpose, and issues are raised as appropriate
- Establish and monitor an effective delegation framework to ensure that tasks are performed by staff members with appropriate capacity and authority level (based on knowledge, skills and competence)
- Establish and monitor an effective oversight framework to ensure that issues are appropriately identified, escalated and resolved. This includes: a) ensuring that appropriate management information is received, considered and challenged as appropriate at intervals proportionate to the risks; and b) that staff members have clear understanding of the escalation path/principles
- Establish and nurture a culture of ‘Risk Excellence’ within the team, encourage an environment of openness that welcomes effective challenge and supports open discussion
- Ensure that you make reasonable decisions by exercising reasonable care when considering information available to you. This includes taking proactive action to ensure that the information you have is suitable and adequate
- Establish and nurture a culture of individual ownership of tasks to embed a clear individual sense of accountability into staff members’ behaviour in performing their roles
- Ensure that the highest level of the Code of Conduct is displayed in your own and staff behaviour
What We Are Looking For
- Undergraduate degree or relevant/comparable professional qualification
- Extensive experience in foreign exchange or related markets or gained in a client servicing or sales environment
- Knowledge of the foreign exchange market, including key players, competitive landscape, products and services is preferred but not essential
- Must have the necessary competence, risk excellence mindset and business, financial and technical skills, as applicable, to perform its role and have a sound knowledge of the business
- Proven high ethical standard, good judgment and leadership with regard to day to day ethical issues
- Demonstrated customer service orientation
- Proven initiative in building strong client relationships and resolving client challenges
- Excellent communication and relationship skills
- High level of commercial awareness
- Understanding of financial management and wider team management and leadership techniques and skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess business and industry trends to develop and improve our service offering
- Conversant in all appropriate regulations surrounding the provision of global markets products to clients
