Job Responsibilities:

Strategies Development

  • Oversee the Octopus Information System Support Team to ensure secure and smooth IT operations of the Octopus systems; changes to production environments are monitored and controlled; systems performance, availability and recovery are monitored with capacity planning to ensure the required service levels are met.
  • Develop strategies to ensure Octopus infrastructure and IT operations meet contemporary technological, security, and statutory standards.
  • Develop disaster recovery plans to ensure high availability of Octopus service.

Risk Management

  • Identify, manage and mitigate IT related risks including but not limited to risks in projects, IT operations, services and products provided to card holders and service providers.
  • Develop and implement risk management process in the department.
  • Investigate technical incident and security breach and provide resolutions.
  • Instill strong risk and compliance culture into every level and create strong sense of accountability.

Information Security Management

  • Ensure that all information assets, IT assets and technologies in the Octopus system are well protected.
  • Investigate technical incident and security breach and provide resolutions.

Product Realisation

  • Ensure operations have adequate resources for service delivery.
  • Ensure service deliverables as per service levels, budget, and required standards.
  • Negotiate and manage external customers and suppliers for product realisation.
  • Liaison with relevant parties on user requirements, UAT testing, implementation and deployment.

Adoption of Best Practices to Streamline IT Operations Processes

  • Architect and optimize CI/CD pipelines for efficient application delivery and system deployment
  • Establish and maintain security best practices for software deployment
  • Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure, ensuring efficient use of resources and cost-effectiveness.
  • Adopt RPA tools in automating deployment processes.

Job Requirements:

  • University Degree in Electronic Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 15+ years of experience in IT operations with proficiency in full stack development with automated testing, CI/CD pipeline designs, security-focused software development and system architecture design.Good analytical and problem solving skills and good stakeholders communications skills.
  • Track records in leading and directing IT operations team, dealing with external customers and vendors.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Well-organized, mature, self-motivated, detail-oriented, resourceful with strong sense of responsibility
