Job Description

  • Event Planning and Management
  • Organize and Execute Events: Plan, coordinate, and manage various events, including summit, webinar, and community outreach programs focused on research and its applications.
  • Vendor Coordination: Liaise with vendors, venues, and suppliers to ensure all logistical aspects of events are handled efficiently.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Marketing and Promotion
  • Develop Marketing Strategies: Create and implement marketing strategies to promote events and initiatives, targeting relevant audiences within the biotech and healthcare communities.
  • Content Creation: Produce engaging content for promotional materials, including brochures, newsletters, and social media posts, to raise awareness about the center's research and events.
  • Digital Marketing: Utilize digital marketing tools and platforms to enhance the center's online presence and engage with the community effectively.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
  • Build Relationships: Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including researchers, industry partners, and community organizations, to foster collaboration and support for the center's initiatives.
  • Networking: Attend industry conferences and networking events to represent Center and promote its mission and research.
  • Research and Analysis
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges within the microbiome sector, providing insights to inform marketing strategies and event planning.
  • Feedback Collection: Gather feedback from event participants and stakeholders to assess the effectiveness of events and marketing efforts, using this information to improve future initiatives.
  • Administrative Support
  • Reporting: Prepare reports on event outcomes, marketing performance, and stakeholder engagement activities for management review.
  • Database Management: Maintain and update databases of contacts, event participants, and marketing materials to ensure accurate and accessible information.


Job Requirements

  • A recognized Bachelor’s degree;
  • At least 3-4 years’ post-qualification work experience, preferably in the Market and Event Management sector
  • Fast and accurate Chinese and English typing skill;
  • A good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (Putonghua is preferred);
  • Good computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint);
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills;
  • A self-motivated and meticulous attitude, and a strong sense of responsibility; and
  • The ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and work independently.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills, creativity, and a passion for advancing micro research is preferred.


The appointment will initially be made on a contract basis for one year, renewable subject to mutual agreement.

The appointee will work mainly in Hong Kong Science Park.
