Location: Sheung Wan

Roles & responsibilities:

  • Liaise with various Divisions to facilitate applications of menial services;
  • supervise a group of menial staff to provide daily general services, including but not limited to provision of menial support for regular event-based requisitions, receiving and dispatching services etc.;
  • manage bookings of conference rooms at the Administration Headquarters, and to ensure that related provision of menial service is in good order;
  • render support to supervisors in relation to the management of menial staff, such as handling personnel matters and other ad-hoc tasks to ensure a smooth delivery of general services;
  • provide regular administrative support such as filing, record-checking, procurement of office necessities, settlements of daily mailings and expenses, consolidation and maintenance of materials for lending purposes etc.;
  • handle general enquiries received from both public and internal personnel with good communication skills; and
  • perform any other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate should have/be:

  • (a) 5 passes in HKCEE including Chinese Language, English Language (Syl. B) & Mathematics or equivalent plus at least 2 years of relevant experience; or
    (b) completed F.5 plus at least 3 years of relevant experience;
  • preferably experience in staff supervision;
  • good computer knowledge and skills including Chinese and English word-processing;
  • mature personality as well as good organization, communication and interpersonal skills; and
  • ability to work as a team but also work independently and under pressure.

Compensation & employment terms:

The successful candidate will initially be offered a 2-year contract with a remuneration package which will be commensurate with his/her background and experience.  The continuation of employment and employment terms thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement.  Apart from contributions to the MPF Scheme, other benefits include paid annual leave, medical services, a dental scheme and training sponsorships.  The incumbent will normally work under a 5-day week schedule subject to operational needs and exigencies of the service.
