Customer Logistics Manager (FMCG, 60k-65k)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and direct daily operational activities with our external third-party service providers, which include inbound and outbound logistics, distribution, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
  • Monitor and assess KPIs to ensure they align with business requirements; recommend and implement strategies to address performance challenges.
  • Maintain accurate and current stock and inventory records.
  • Ensure operational efficiency while adhering to compliance, workplace safety, food safety standards, and optimal storage practices; support audit processes as needed.
  • Improve and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for warehouse operations.
  • Develop logistics solutions that are tailored to anticipate future business needs and participate in 3PL tendering when required.
  • Analyze logistics expenses and the cost-to-serve, exploring optimization opportunities; negotiate with external partners to enhance cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Finance to conduct monthly analysis of 3PL invoicing; manage the transport team's budget and P&L.
  • Lead inventory analysis and collaborate with key stakeholders (both external and internal) to drive improvements.
  • Oversee import license applications and manage any necessary changes.
  • Address customer inquiries related to delivery issues and manage ad-hoc projects as needed.
  • Assess customer feedback and operational challenges to formulate prompt action plans for enhancement.
  • Lead and mentor the logistics team to ensure consistently excellent performance.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of professional experience, including at least 6 years in FMCG logistics, with a minimum of 4 years in a managerial role.
  • Preferable experience in FMCG sectors, particularly retail and food service, within large multinational companies.
  • Proven experience in managing third-party logistics providers and vendors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems, preferably SAP.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, coupled with analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • A collaborative team player with the interpersonal skills necessary to foster strong relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Exceptional project management capabilities and adeptness at managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Energetic, organized, detail-oriented, logical thinker who can work independently and thrive under pressure.
  • Highly motivated, proactive, and results-driven.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Chinese processing, and SAP ERP systems.
