Reports to: Head of Procurement – Centre of Excellence

The role is part of a global team in our Procurement and Aircraft Trading (APD) department who are responsible for establishing and promoting best practices, driving standardization, and identifying areas of continuous improvement of the source-to-pay (S2P) process across the procurement function. 

As the Procurement Centre of Excellence Manager – Technology and Data, you will be developing and executing technology and data management strategies that help to drive procurement excellence, enhance efficiency/compliance, and ensure data accuracy in the source-to-pay (S2P) process. Together with Technology/Digital team, you will deliver system capabilities and tools that support business needs.

Procurement Technologies

  • Identify, prioritize, and implement e-procurement initiatives or enhancements that can drive procurement excellence, enhance efficiency, and compliance in the S2P processes.
  • Work closely with Procurement Global Process Owners (GPOs) to streamline and digitalise end-to-end S2P processes.
  • Provide internal subject matter expertise on e-Procurement technologies to improve system adoption, performance, and reliability.
  • Work closely with IT team to configure, maintain, and troubleshoot e-Procurement technologies.
  • Manager user access and permissions.
  • Monitor system performance against business case.
  • Keep management update on industry trends and best practices to develop and implement strategies for platform growth and improvement.
  • Work with change management team to develop training content.

Key Responsibilities

  • Procurement Master Data Management
  • Define and maintain standards for procurement master data (taxonomy, items, charts of accounts, suppliers etc.) and align them against organization objectives.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to resolve data quality issues and implement data improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across systems.
  • Regularly monitor and evaluate information and data systems that could affect analytical results, ensuring data security and integrity.
  • Provide inputs on technology architecture for data inputs.
  • Promote data governance awareness to improve data literacy.
  • Work closely with different teams of APD and across the company.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Degree holder in Procurement, IT, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  •  Proven experience (5+ years) in developing and implementing technology in a procurement context.
  • Solid knowledge of e-procurement platforms and their capabilities, including but not limited to: SAP, Ariba, Coupa, Oracle. Good understanding of procurement fundamentals and the procurement lifecycle that can be supported by the e-platform (i.e., supplier relationship management, data management, sourcing, contracting … etc.)
  • Good understanding of user experience design principles to enhance platform usability.
  • Ability to utilize reporting and analytics tools within the platform along with user feedback to drive insights for continuous improvement. Ability to develop and implement data quality metrics, monitor data quality, and lead efforts to resolve data quality issues.
  • Knowledge of master data management principles and best practices. Hands-on experience in master data management. Participation in projects that involve managing large datasets and improving data quality is beneficial.
  • Experience in integrating data from multiple sources into a unified view.
  • Understanding of data governance frameworks and standards.
  • Experience in acting data stewardship to develop and enforce data governance policies and procedures across the organization.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and presentation skills, especially to management and other diverse stakeholders. Good stakeholder management and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Self-starter with a ‘can do’ attitude, attention to detail, and ability to drive results independently. Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
