What the role is?

This System Analyst role sits in our IT Department and supports the Bermuda business BAU and development in eBao core system.

Key Duties include:

• Act as a leader to provide advice and manage downlines in supporting Core Life System (eBao)
• Act as bridge with businesses and vendors in various project stages
• Active participant in all IT transformation programs and follow IT governance model, to ensure change management within the organization.
• Participate in business process/department/functional group activities within the respective area on regular basis to understand business needs and challenges to help facilitate improvements and reuse any existing IT components
• Responsible for Quality Assurance
  • Quality documentation (i.e. UAT Test Plan, UAT Test Script/Scenario, UAT sign off) 
  • Testing and validation
• System Development
  • Standardizing documentation and deliverables 
  • General resource planning
  • Estimating level of effort 
  • Technical documentation 
  • Technical maintenance
  • Performance monitoring and optimization 
  • Program coding 
• Evaluate impacts and escalate issues and risk appropriately
• Measure and monitor all well-defined service metrics and KPI

What we look for?

• Life insurance experience is a must
• Having eBao experience is an advantage
• Higher diploma holder or above in an IT-related discipline

Technical skills required but not limited to:

• Operating Systems: Unix, Linus, Windows
• Application Development: Java, Visual Basic.NET, Visual C#.NET, Shell script, DOS, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Struts, SOAP, Restful Web Services, MuleSoft, JSON, jQuery
• Database Development: Oracle PL/SQL, SQL Plus, SQL Server SQL Programming and SSIS, MySQL
• Reporting & BI: Jasper Report/iReport, Crystal Report, Fine Report, Qlik Sense
• Printing: SIP, Quadient/GMC
• Knowledge in UiPath, Salesforce, Tomcat, Apache is an advantage
