About The Role

To assist in providing leadership in all selling activities within the hotel, working closely with the Rooms, RB&E and other revenue-generating departments to maximize sales through the activities of the Sales Team and other colleagues

To be responsible of the growth of mainland China business, assist in acquiring new accounts in the region, retaining existing key accounts and developing more business from key account with potential, not limit to MICE, Corporate, Travel Trade, and Associations segments

To develop sales strategy, tactics and action implementations, to achieve the sales goal and growth

To set up necessary administration and liaison with Rooms, Reservations, RB&E, Finance, RSO/GSA and other GHA Hotels worldwide with regards to the business growth of China market

Key Responsibilities

Administration

To ensure that the Sales activities are aligned with overall China market Strategy, and that the Hotel Actions have been implemented where appropriate

To assist in the preparation and update of the Department Operations Manuals

To attend regular departmental communications meeting and ensure that departmental briefings and meetings are effective and conduced as necessary

To ensure sales files and systems to have correct booking procedures, including contractual agreements, profiles and business booked are properly tracked

To utilize technology tools such as Cambridge and KEH to achieve the fullest potential in room revenues

To participate in the quarterly account review with Area Director Sales & Marketing and Director of Sales for each Sales Manager

Administration

To maximize colleague productivity through the use of multi-skilling, multi-tasking and flexible scheduling to meet the financial goals of the business as well as expectations of the guest

To achieve the target set in annual sales plan

To continuously seek ways to maximize revenues and profits by cross selling and upselling other facilities and service

To assist in the monthly sales reporting and re-forecasting

To assist in the sales resources and funds, and control departmental cost

Marketing

To monitor and evaluate China tourism market trends, and the competitor hotels’ sales initiatives in China market, in order to make sure that the hotel’s marketing and sales offers remain competitive

To support a high level of exposure for hotel through direct sales solicitation, and written communications

To conduct professionally routine telemarketing activities to identify new business opportunities

Operational

To assist in developing, monitoring and evaluating China Market Sales related objectives, strategies, marketing plan and actions plans with ADS&M, DOSs so as to exceed forecasted revenues

To pre-qualify and target major RFPs, MICE, Travel Agents and key associations, utilizing China GSO’s database and develop appropriate and effective sales solicitation strategies to increase Hotel’s market share

To plan and make sales trips to companies which are our current and potential clienteles to explore business opportunities

To establish strong contacts to source for information with regards to companies, government functions, events companies and associations.

To maintain in-depth knowledge of hotel facilities, feature and services.

To assist in managing all the key sales accounts, to evaluate them based sales account analysis, and to make strategy for pricing, inventory and sales resource allocation

Requirements

Solid experience in RFPs process and Sales Accounts Management in branded five stars, upper-upscale hotels

Ability to prioritize workload, stay organized, and maintain a structured approach to tasks

Computer Literacy is a consideration, knowledge of the hotel industry’s S&C system is a must

Strong understanding of the Greater Bay Area market and its unique dynamics
